netTALK Duo WiFi Review & Giveaway

*I received product in order to facilitate this review, no other compensation has been received, all opinions are 100% mine*

FIRE YOUR PHONE COMPANY NOW!!!

Do you like to save money? I know I do. Within the past few months we have cut back our household expenses tremendously thanks to new gadgets such as netTALK. I guess more and more people every day are going over to cell phones and having a land line is becoming a thing of the past but I honestly like having a home phone, sometimes my cell phone acts crazy and doesn't work like it suppose to and drops calls. I feel like I can't totally rely on the cell phone.  If you are like me and still like having a home phone and aren't wanting to get rid of it and want to save money I am going to introduce you to a great gadget called netTALK.

Before I begin my review let me tell you a little about it.

The netTALK DUO WiFi is a sleek and versatile VoIP telephone device that connects via wireless or traditional Internet connection (through router or computer). Enjoy free calling features such as call waiting, conference calling, Enhanced 911, 411 directory assistance, visual voicemail, and a videophone application. Choose a phone number or keep your own. Flat-rate, low cost international call plans are available and the netTALK DUO WiFi is supported by live U.S-based, technical support, seven days a week.

For my review I was sent a netTALK Duo WiFi.

Straight out of the box it took us less than 15 minutes to get it set up. You will have to create an account online to set up 911 service and choose your phone number.  There are 3 ways to set up your netTALK DUO WiFi, you can connect it via router, WiFi, or to your computer. We chose to connect via router that way it can be used 24/7. You could also use it by WiFi and it would work 24/7 as well. Unlike if you were to connect to your computer it would only work when the computer is on. If you chose to connect to your computer and the computer is off all calls would be forwarded to voice mail.

The netTALK Duo WiFi has some great features including:

  • NEW Call Blocking (block annoying calls)
  • NEW Call ID Blocking (protect your privacy)
  • One year of service included
  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee
  • Wi-Fi enabled
  • Choose a phone number or keep your own
  • Free local and long distance calling to the U.S. and Canada
  • Live technical support, 7 days a week
  • Flat-rate, ultra low-cost international call plans
  • Free DUO-to-DUO-calls anywhere in the world
  • Plugs directly into your router or computer
  • Land line goes anywhere there is Internet
  • 411 directory assistance
  • Call waiting / caller ID / call forwarding
  • 3-way calling / conference calling
  • Visual voice mail
  • Enhanced 911
  • Fax-friendly
  • Videophone application
My favorite feature has to be the call blocking. Great for those annoying telemarketers!

We have been using netTALK now for about 2 weeks and I have to say I am quite impressed. The call quality is excellent. I really cannot tell the difference between it and our old phone line through the phone company. The only drawback to the whole thing is if the power does go out the netTALK device will not work. Overall though we are extremely satisfied with this great little device. I love saving the $45 a month that we were paying to our phone company.

The netTALK DUO WiFi is available at  Target Stores nationwide as well as other leading retailers and retails for $64.95 and that includes one year of service. Each additional year is only $29.95 plus tax.

Thanks to netTALK one lucky winner is going to win a netTALK Duo WiFi including one year of service. That is a HUGE money saver! Enter on the Rafflecopter form below! Good luck!

  17. The best feature of NetTalk Duo WiFi is the ability to connect it directly to a router or through WiFi. I am currently using a competitor which can only be used when plugged in to a PC, and it's really a hassle whenever I need to use it. Having the ability to plug it directly to a router means I can leave it on 24/7, just like a regular phone! Even better is that it can also use WiFi therefore I can put it virtually at any place in the house!
