Mohawk Home Songbird Doormat Review & #Giveaway

So you know what I like the best about Mohawk Home besides their gorgeous rugs and flooring? Their products are still made in the USA. Now a days its so hard to find a product that is not made over seas. Mohawk produces quality carpet, ceramic tile, stone, wood and rugs, and they were one of the first American carpet manufacturers. Mohawk Home and I are almost neighbors. They are headquartered in Calhoun, Georgia only about 4 hours from where we live! I love a company that helps a community and Mohawk is doing that.

For my review I was sent a BEAUTIFUL Mohawk Home Songbird Welcome Rubber Doormat.

You know what is great about these doormats? They are made up of at least 96% recycled rubber. As if I didn't love Mohawk enough already, in 2009 they diverted over 18 million pounds of rubber tires, one of the largest and most hazardous types of post-consumer waste, from landfills and brought them to homes as designer doormats.

BEFORE
This is what my old doormat looked like. I'm kind of embarrassed but we've had this one for about 2 years. It was good while it lasted.

As you can tell, the weather took a major toll on it. Plus I always make my husband and kids wipe their feet before they come in the house :)

AFTER

Big difference! It makes my porch look cleaner too! So compared to my old doormat the Mohawk one has definitely got it beat. The rubber is way thicker. It actually rained the day I put the rug out I noticed that it didn't hold water like the old doormat did and dried fairly fast after the rain stopped. My neighbor came over and gave the kids some cupcakes she had made and commented on it how nice it looked. 

My Mom and Dad have been Mohawk Home customers for a long time. They have purchased flooring and a couple of their rugs from Lowe's before. I on the other hand have never owned a Mohawk item in my life. I am EXTREMELY impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of their products. Now I truly see why my Mom and Dad have invested in Mohawk products. Did I mention they are American made too? :)
